Sold on a Monday (McMorris)

Set during the depression, this story about how a journalist's choice to stage a picture for use in his column ends up snowballing into something it was never meant to be, was both heartrending and heartwarming.  I really enjoyed this novel and it really makes you think about how one little event can have a lot of very unintended circumstances.
