Tracie Peterson doesn't disappoint with this first book in the Willamette Brides series.  The characters in this series are relatives of the characters in the "Heart of the Frontier" series, but it is not necessary to have read the "Heart of the Frontier" series in order to follow the story line in this novel. 

A bit of intrigue, a bit of personal struggle, and a bit of romance make for an enjoyable novel that keeps the reader wondering how things will all work out.  I look forward to reading (or listening to) the rest of this series sometime in the very near future.
