Fremont Township Community Library History
The Fremont Township Community Library is located in Winn, a small farming community nestled in the southern half of Isabella County. The library was first located in a building that was more than a century old. It had originally served as the headquarters and meeting place for the local chapter of the Masons, who also constructed the building. The library took up residence in the building in 1981.
In the fall of 2016, CRDL purchased the old video rental store in Winn to remodel into the future library serving Fremont Township and the village of Winn. Renovations included new interior walls, creating a meeting/program space, and an upgraded bathroom. The library opened its door as Fremont Township Community Library in February 2017.
