Program Description

Program Description

Join us for special program just for preschool and early elementary families! You’ll receive a FREE copy of this month’s picture book with a simple craft kit to complete together after reading the book.

This month we will read The Black Book of Colors by Menena Cottin (Author) and Rosana Faría (Illustrator)

"Living with the use of one's eyes can make imagining blindness difficult, but this innovative title invites readers to imagine living without sight through remarkable illustrations done with raised lines and descriptions of colors based on imagery. Braille letters accompany the illustrations and a full Braille alphabet offers sighted readers help reading along with their fingers. This extraordinary title gives young readers the ability to experience the world in a new way."

Books and craft kits will be available while supplies last, so please sign up as soon as you can!

Please register only once per family.

Kits will be available to pick up at your library branch starting on July 17, registered kits not picked up by July 24 will be offered to patrons on the waitlist.
