Program Description

Join us for a presentation and hands on activity on how Fashion, Biology and Interior Design can be used together to create amazing and informative works of art! Learn how students and professors at Central Michigan University have taken microscopic images and turned them into beautiful artistic patterns and fabrics that can be worn as clothing or incorporated into interior spaces. Then, make your very own bow-tie or fabric hairpin, using some of those fabrics.

The amazing results from this project have been displayed throughout our library all summer, and now you can learn more about the science and design behind their creation!
