Join us as we look at Jazz LP Cover Artwork (1948-1975), focusing on Blue Note, Impulse, and El Saturn record labels and individual artists: Andy Warhol, Reid Miles, Mati Klarwein, and Robert Thompson. In addition, Mike Johnston will share how album art reflected societal changes, especially in the 1960s as the civil rights movement was in full swing.
Musician Mike Johnston, a PBS Jazz Program host and former writer for Coda Publications and Delta College Music Faculty, is the presenter for this event.
