The Chippewa River District Library System is excited to kick off its 2025 Summer Reading Club on Monday, June 9! Join us at 5:00 pm at Veterans Memorial Library for activities, books, and big smiles as we launch a summer full of adventure.
Sign up for CRDL’s Summer Reading Club, which runs from June 9 through July 31. Readers of all ages can participate for a chance to win fabulous prizes, enjoy engaging programs, and discover a whole summer of stories and activities.
“Our annual Summer Reading Club is one of our favorite traditions. This year, we’re thrilled to start with a party everyone will remember,” said Andrea Graham, CRDL Family Program Coordinator. “The party is a fantastic, fun way for our community to come together, celebrate the start of summer, and get excited about reading.”
There will also be a free hot dog dinner for all ages, free books, and book bags for children ages 0-17, while supplies will last.
WCMU Public Media is providing free books to all children, and Mt. Pleasant Parks & Recreation is providing park space, activities, and hot dogs.
And to ensure there’s something for everyone to enjoy, our amazing partners are bringing many exciting activities to our event. A special thank you to Art Reach of Mid Michigan, Suzuki Music Studio of Mt. Pleasant, GreenTree Co-op Market, Sleepy Dog Books, Listening Ear, Scouting America Cub Scouts Pack 3628, Michigan Alliance for Families, and our canine good citizen teams at the Mt. Pleasant Michigan Kennel Club.
