The Edge of Belonging (Amanda Cox)

I LOVED this book!  A dual time-line novel that really drew me in right from the beginning. I think one thing that really kept me reading was that even though I basically knew the "end" of the story, I really wanted to know how the characters had gotten to that point. The use of the spit-time format allowed the author to tell the story of how Ivy Rose came to be adopted by her parents in a way that really kept my interest and allowed other characters to have a story as well. This is was a debut novel for Ms. Cox and it was excellent. I know she has one more novel out already (The Secret Keepers of Old Depot Grocery) and I hope to find time to read it soon! I listened to this title as an audio book and the narrator was also excellent.
