Christian Fiction Podcasts

Start Date

In a post back in October of 2021 I shared with you the Christian Historical Fiction Talk podcast. If you are a reader of Christian Historical fiction and haven't yet checked out this podcast I encourage you to do so. Host Liz Tolsma has some great interviews with authors who are well known and authors who are new to the publishing world. I have found several new authors, and read some great books, I otherwise probably wouldn't have known about because I heard about them on this podcast. I have also recently found a couple more podcasts related to Christian fiction that I thought people might be interested in checking out. MadLit Musings with Jamie Jo Wright is hosted by author Jamie Jo Wright. This podcast is also mostly author interviews, which I find to be fun and interesting. New episodes are uploaded weekly and are usually about 30 minutes long.  The second addition to the Christian fiction podcast collection is Christian Fiction Bookshelf by FamilyFiction. This podcast is hosted by Jamie Vaughn, these author interview episodes are usually only 15 minutes long or so, they seem to be uploaded on a more random schedule.  According to their description, "the series will cover all genres of Christian fiction such as Romance, Contemporary, Amish, Suspense, Historical, Fantasy/Sci-Fi, Children’s, etc.".  I have enjoyed adding both of these podcasts to my library of podcasts. I sometimes struggle with finding time to listen to podcasts ... there are only so many hours in a day after all, so when I do have time should I listen to a podcast? or listen to my audiobook?  the struggle is real!  But, I do enjoy getting these inside views and hearing the authors talk about their books and what they have coming out next.  Are you new to podcasts and not sure where to start?  There are several different podcast apps out there, so it's just a matter of finding one that you like and that works on your device. If you need help finding or downloading one, stop at our Help Desk and one of our librarians would be more than happy to help you!
